Piedmont Technical College has an opening for a WIA Director. The selected candidate will coordinate services with WIA partner agencies and programs such as SCDEW, GLEAMNS, VR, TAA, etc. Work independently in administering and managing multiple contracts and financial agreements while adhering to strict federal and state guidelines. Responsible for the overall development and management of the WIA program and the SCWorks Center at Piedmont Technical College following strict federal and state guidelines and policy at all times. Also will be responsible for WIA/WR workshop staff and scheduling throughout the Piedmont Tech service area. THIS IS A FULL-TIME TEMPORARY GRANT POSITION.
Piedmont Technical College is seeking a full-time Biology Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for Biology instruction/laboratory including Anatomy and Physiology courses. Additional duties include student advisement, course development, community and college service, and professional development.
Master's degree in Biology, or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in biological science. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college level; commitment to creating multiple learning options to serve a diverse student body with diverse learning styles and learning needs; commitment to improving student learning by the integration of new technology and other innovative approaches to classroom instruction and curriculum design; understanding and commitment to the educational philosophy of the public two-year college system; and commitment to interact with students outside a classroom setting as an instructor and an academic advisor.
Piedmont Technical College has an opening for a CNC Instructor. CNC Instructor provides leadership, management, planning and coordination of instruction for students, student advisement, recruiting, student retention, marketing and the provision of services to the College and community in a professional manner. Includes curriculum and instructional development, assessment functions to include program learning outcomes and student learning outcomes. Teach courses (min 20-24 hour load) in accordance with the established syllabi to a diverse student body; participate in the assessment of the Machine Tool instructional needs and to assist in the planning & delivery necessary to meet those needs. Foster and promote all educational programs, institutes, clinics & activities offered through the Department & the Continuing Education Division. Assist with the coordination & attend activities that relate to the advisory committee.
Adjunct/Dual Credit Instructors
Piedmont Technical College invites applications for the positions of adjunct instructors (temporary, part-time) to teach courses in the following curriculum at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county campuses in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.
Biology: A Master’s degree in Biology or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Biology is required.

Clinical Embalming: Graduate from an ABFSE accredited program is required; must possess active SC Funeral Director/Embalmer License and have minimum one (1) year active embalming experience.

Computer Technology / AOT: Master's degree in Business, Computer Technology, or related field. Work, teaching, and typing experience preferred. Must have MOS Certification in two Microsoft areas: Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Access to teach CPT 101.

Phlebotomy: Certified Phlebotomist with at least 5 years experience & 1 year teaching experience required.

Radiology: Credentialed by the ARRT with a minimum of 3 years experience as a staff technologist currently working in the field of Radiologic Technology; be licensed by the state of SC by the SCRQSA. Prior experience working with students is preferred.

Part-time Embalming Preceptor: Graduate from an ABFSE accredited program is required; must possess active SC Funeral Director/Embalmer License, have minimum one (1) year active embalming experience and be currently employed at a funeral home.

Pharmacy Technology: The candidate must be S.C. State certified and Nationally Certified. Hospital and I.V. experience is a must, with working knowledge of 797 guidelines and sterile and non-sterile compounding. Associates Degree is preferred.

Piedmont Technical College seeks part time Peer Mentors to provide academic and social support for Project Genesis students enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Criminal Justice, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Computer Technology and Mechatronics Technology programs; provide appropriate campus referrals for students in need of campus services; communicate with Director of Genesis and Genesis Case Manager regarding issues or concerns pertaining to mentees; and attend meetings and trainings as assigned.
