Application Information

Piedmont Technical College participates with the SC State Jobs recruitment system through NEOGOV for all positions. Each FTE vacancy will be posted a minimum of five calendar days. Piedmont Technical College has an opening for a Developmental/Transitional Math Instructor. The selected candidate will teach developmental Mathematics at the Newberry and Laurens County Campuses of Piedmont Technical College. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing instructional materials, teaching varying schedules at a variety of locations, utilizing technology, and using a variety of teaching methods in instruction.

Bachelors degree in Mathematics. Some teaching experience is preferred.

Piedmont Technical College is seeking an candidate to serve as the CAM Center Manager to provide technical trainer and program coordination for corporate training classes including, but not limited to, topics such as Quality, Safety, Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance, and Lean Manufacturing. In addition, this position will act as Manager of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing, its staff, and part time/adjunct instructors. The CAM Center Manager will increase the college's engagement with local business and industry by creating innovative, alternative delivery methods to include blended and online learning. Will increase market penetration by engaging clients that have not utilized the college within the last 2 years.

A bachelor's degree and two (2) years related instructional/training experience.  Prefer industrial, maintenance, technical, and safety training experience.

Piedmont Technical College has an opening for a WIA Director. The selected candidate will coordinate services with WIA partner agencies and programs such as SCDEW, GLEAMNS, VR, TAA, etc. Work independently in administering and managing multiple contracts and financial agreements while adhering to strict federal and state guidelines. Responsible for the overall development and management of the WIA program and the SCWorks Center at Piedmont Technical College following strict federal and state guidelines and policy at all times. Also will be responsible for WIA/WR workshop staff and scheduling throughout the Piedmont Tech service area. THIS IS A FULL-TIME TEMPORARY GRANT POSITION.

A master's degree; or bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience in student services programs. Acquired competence in planning, organizing, directing, reviewing and monitoring work, appraising and evaluating performance, training and staff development, career and labor market information analysis, personnel selection and hiring, budgeting, and interpreting, summarizing survey and/or other data. Must demonstrate abilities in general business management, instructional activity coordination, and design, development, and evaluation of instructional projects.

Piedmont Technical College invites applications for the positions of adjunct instructors (temporary, part-time) to teach courses in the following curriculum at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county campuses in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.

Peer Mentors/Lab Coach

Piedmont Technical College seeks part time Peer Mentors to provide academic and social support for Project Genesis students enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Criminal Justice, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Computer Technology and Mechatronics Technology programs; provide appropriate campus referrals for students in need of campus services; communicate with Director of Genesis and Genesis Case Manager regarding issues or concerns pertaining to mentees; and attend meetings and trainings as assigned. Candidates must be currently enrolled 2nd year students at Piedmont Technical College in good academic standing in the identified programs.
