Application Information

Piedmont Technical College participates with the SC State Jobs recruitment system through NEOGOV for all positions. Each FTE vacancy will be posted a minimum of five calendar days. To apply for any vacant position, you must go to the state website, www.jobs.sc.gov, search for Piedmont Technical College and apply on-line for those vacancies listed below. Only on-line applications for vacancies listed on our website will be accepted. Vacancies will be listed here as well as a complete listing at www.jobs.sc.gov. We no longer accept paper applications, emailed applications, or faxed applications for any vacancies. We emphasize that any application or related documents, other than those submitted on-line, will not be accepted, reviewed or responded to.

Copies of transcripts will be required if called upon for an interview. Official transcripts will be required if hired.

In order to be considered for any vacancy, whether full time or part time, applicants must meet the minimum requirements of each job.  All requested information must be received before the candidate's application will be reviewed. Resumes, letters or transcripts alone will not be accepted in lieu of the application.

Electronic Engineering Technology Instructor

Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) Instructor provides leadership, management, planning and coordination of instruction for students, student advisement, recruiting, marketing, student retention and the provision of services to the College and community in a professional manner. Includes curriculum and instructional development, assessment functions to include program learning outcomes and student learning outcomes, establishing EET industry related partnerships and also provides support for the SCSU EET baccalaureate transfer and Project Lead the Way programs. Provides the knowledge/experience required to meet the needs of the community in EET related careers.

Faculty teaching Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) associate degree courses require bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field & demonstrated competencies in teaching discipline. Must have (2-3) years’ experience in EET related area. Master's in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license &/or Project Lead the Way (PLTW) certification pref.

TEMPORARY, ADJUNCT FACULTY AND TUTOR OPPORTUNITIES:

Adjunct/Dual Credit Instructors

Piedmont Technical College invites applications for the positions of adjunct instructors (temporary, part-time) to teach courses in the following curriculum at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county campuses in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line and dual credit instructors to teach in high schools. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.

Art: Bachelor's degree in Art, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Must have commercial graphics skills.

Building Construction Technology: Bachelor's degree in Building Construction or related field, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies. Must have SC Home Builders License.

Peer Mentors/Lab Coach

Piedmont Technical College seeks part time Peer Mentors to provide academic and social support for Project Genesis students enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Criminal Justice, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Computer Technology and Mechatronics Technology programs; provide appropriate campus referrals for students in need of campus services; communicate with Director of Genesis and Genesis Case Manager regarding issues or concerns pertaining to mentees; and attend meetings and trainings as assigned. Candidates must be currently enrolled 2nd year students at Piedmont Technical College in good academic standing in the identified programs.
