In fact, agribusiness is one of the largest economic clusters in the state and a critically important part of the knowledge-based economy.
Located in agriculture-rich Saluda County, our curriculum will give you the hands-on training and in-depth classroom instruction to understand and master the daily requirements of a career in agriculture. And because we work directly with some of the major agribusinesses in the region to develop our curricula, you’ll be qualified to enter the workforce with the skills that employers need, or to operate a farm of your own.
Piedmont Tech’s Horticulture Technology program will give you the tools you need to succeed in one of South Carolina’s largest industries. With the support of a diverse group of instructors, you’ll get hands-on experience through our campus greenhouse complex, the Landscapes for Learning project and an extensive co-op program. And with our extensive transfer agreements with Clemson University, you can be sure that your education here creates a foundation for success.
