Piedmont Technical College is hosting an opportunity to take in the fall splendor of New England’s charming and vibrant northern states.

The Colors of New England Getaway to the scenic northeast will be October 7-14, 2010. There will be a free information session about the trip on Tuesday, March 9 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in room 219-C of the James C. Self Conference Center on the Greenwood Campus. Connie Fortanbary of Collette Vacations will be there to show slides of the trip and answer any questions. There is no obligation to take part in the trip by attending this free session.

The journey will begin in Boston and feature the Old South Meeting House, Public Gardens, Old North Church, Beacon Hill and the U.S.S. Constitution. From Boston, the tour will travel to Maine, stopping at The Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory, one of only three such bridge observatories in the world. The adventure will continue to New Hampshire and Vermont before returning to Boston.

The cost, including travel, lodging and 10 meals, is $2,349 per person based on double occupancy.

This eight-day trip is being offered by the Continuing Education Division of Piedmont Technical College in conjunction with Collette Vacations. The deadline for registration for guaranteed seating is June 7, 2010.
