Let’s say you just built a new house. You call a Landscape Designer to draw a master plan for the residence. The plan is given to a Landscape Contractor to install the design which includes retaining walls, pavers and plant material. The plants are purchased at a local Garden Center. The Garden Center got the plants from a Wholesale Plant Nursery.
All of these careers and many more are filled by workers who’ve attained horticulture degrees. Each of the specialties above requires a well-rounded understanding of horticulture to be successful.
Piedmont Tech’s Horticulture Technology program will give you the tools you need to succeed. Knowledgeable instructors, a campus greenhouse complex, the Landscapes for Learning project and a co-op program foster knowledge, hands-on experience and professional growth. And with our extensive transfer agreements with Clemson University, you can be sure that your education here creates a foundation for future success.
