The following checklist is for international students who want to take at least some of their courses at Piedmont Tech. If you want to take all of your classes online, please see our admissions requirements for Distance Learning students.
 

1. Apply for Admission

Select one of the following application methods:

• Submit a secure online application
• Download a printable application to send to PTC via U.S. Mail
• Visit the Admissions Office on the Lex Walters Campus, Greenwood
• Visit any County Center

2. Provide Education Records

Provide one of the following:

• Certified English translation of your high school record

• Copy of your high school diploma

• Certified English translation of your university record

3. Demonstrate Language Proficiency

Provide acceptable TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination scores, or documentation of university-level English (subject to approval by Piedmont Technical College staff).

• Computerized version score: "173" or higher

• Written version score: "500" or higher

4. Provide Test Scores

Provide copies of SAT or ACT scores or take a placement test at Piedmont Technical College.

5. Complete Affidavit of Support Form

6. Complete International Student SEVIS Registration Form
 

Piedmont Tech will issue an acceptance letter to you after the above six steps are completed. After receiving your letter, you must also complete this final step:
 

7. Deposit Money in Escrow Account

Deposit $6,556.00 in an escrow account at Piedmont Technical College to cover the cost of your tuition for your first and last semesters. Piedmont Technical College will process your Form I-20 once the $6,556.00 deposit has been received by the college.
