Catalogs & Schedules

We update program offerings and schedules at least weekly, and our Web site contains the most current information regarding courses. A PDF version of our catalog is available online. You may request print versions of our catalog at our offices on the Lex Walters Campus, Greenwood, at any of Piedmont Tech's six County Centers, or by calling (864) 941-8400 or 1-800-868-5528.

Fees

Course fees are due at the time of registration. We do not permit auditing of classes.

Books & Supplies

Most course fees do not include the cost of materials. Books and other supplies may be purchased in the PTC Campus Shop on the Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood or at the County Centers when programs are offered there. Contact the Campus Shop for more information.

Cancellations

There are times when Piedmont Tech must cancel classes due to low registration. To avoid disappointments, register early ... and recruit a friend or relative to take the class with you. We will call you the day before the scheduled start date if we are forced to cancel a course because of low enrollment.  If you must cancel, please notify our office at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund.

Climate Control

Piedmont's heating and air conditioning systems are sometimes difficult to control. We encourage you to bring a light sweater or jacket to class, regardless of season.

Students with Special Needs

Piedmont Tech's Student Success Center helps students who have special needs overcome issues regarding class attendance. Please contact the Student Success Center at (864) 941-8614.

Continuing Education Units

Piedmont Tech awards Continuing Education Units (CEU) to indicate satisfactory completion of many noncredit courses, programs, and activities. One CEU represents 10 contact hours of instruction. Students may request CEU transcripts from the Office of Student Records. Certificates of course completion are also available from the Continuing Education & Economic Development Division.

Senior Citizens (Plan 60)

Citizens of age 60 or older who are legal South Carolina residents and who do not work full-time qualify for special rate classes that have been designed especially for our senior population. Some general interest classes may be eligible for a senior discount only after a minimum student enrollment has been met. For a guaranteed space in continuing education courses, seniors must register and confirm with payment. Refunds are subject to refund policy.

Evaluations

We welcome your comments about our courses. You will have an opportunity to evaluate your class at the last class meeting. If you have other comments, please direct them to the appropriate program coordinator.

Refunds

Piedmont Tech will mail a refund to you if a course is cancelled or if you notify us of your withdrawal at least 48 hours prior to the start date. You may request refunds by telephone, fax, U.S. Mail, or in person. No refunds will be granted after the 48-hour deadline. If you have paid by check, please we allow 15 days for your check to clear before processing a refund.
