Continuing Ed

Motorcycle Safety - Intermediate

This course is for riders with approximately 500 miles of motorcycle riding experience. This class consists of 4 hours of classroom theory and 7 hours of practical application (riding). Students learn crash avoidance skills required for street riding plus slow-speed tight turning and other slow-speed techniques. Good clutch and throttle control is a must. Successful completion is based on students passing both a written and riding assessment which makes the student eligible for an insurance discount and provides an opportunity to take the state’s Motorcycle Driver’s License Road Test. If the student achieves a passing score, the DMV may accept this test in lieu of SCDMV’s motorcycle driver’s license road test.

Prerequisite:  Must have held a Motorcycle Learner’s Permit for a minimum of 60 days. Must provide a street legal, insured and fully registered motorcycle to ride in the class.

Class size is limited.  Please bring motorcycle license or permit to class with you.

No refunds and no waivers issued.
