Phi Theta Kappa Inducts New Members Print E-mail

Fifty-six new members were recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at Piedmont Technical College. Phi Theta Kappa was established in 1918 to honor two-year college students and boasts more than 1,200 chapters today. The Carolinas region includes 75 active chapters in the two-state area. Piedmont Tech’s Omega Chi chapter became the first among South Carolina’s technical colleges in 1974.

New members from Abbeville County are David Brownlee, William Cory Giles, Christopher Loyd Hughes, Anne Marie Shaw, Timothy Dale Thomas and Sonia Denen Woods, all of Abbeville.

Joining the group from Edgefield County are Ronald Hillman McMillian Jr. of Edgefield; and Brandon Quindell Andrews of Johnston.

Greenwood County members include Amanda Lynn Harnish and Darlene Williams Talbert, both of Hodges; Emily Esther Alber, Kristen Michelle Bradfield, Stanley Brooks, Frederick Adrian Brown Jr., Michael Albert Brown, Charlotte Claire Cox, Valerie Foster Fennell, Karen Dawn Ferqueron, Kristen Rucker Green, Teshana Labelle Hackett, Oanh Gia Huynh, Marisa Teresa Ling, Amy McCord, Landaris Shamara Miller, Monika M. Patel, Elizabeth Carol Robinson, Michael Arthur Serfoss and Travis Laudelle Wideman, all of Greenwood; and Jeffery Amos Medford of Ninety Six.

Laurens County representatives are Kathy McFarland Gaddis of Clinton; Donna T. N. Byrd, Christianna Nikole Medlin, Angela Mute Neal and William Allen Roof, all of Gray Court; Jessica Christine Dilleshaw of Joanna; Crystal C. Butler, Farrah LaWanda Cook, Khrystal La’Shae Hill and Theresa Christine Martin, all of Laurens; and Nicholas James Hightower and Sue H. Reeves, both of Waterloo.

The McCormick County representative is Katina B. Dansby of McCormick.

New members from Newberry County are Alanna Keith Fulmer and Tina L. Palmer, both of Newberry; George Thomas Alverson, Vicky H. Millwood, Stacey Camille Rice and Felicia L. Rogers, all of Whitmire.

Representing Saluda County is John Christian Ouzts of Saluda.

Members from outside the college’s seven-county support area are Sheila Martin Henry, Timothy Lynn Hunter, Jinson Joy, Angie Hazel Key, Tara Lynn Madison, Crystal Paradise Tennant and Christopher Niles Williams.
