Outstanding Students Honored at Piedmont Technical College Graduation

At Piedmont Technical College’s recent spring commencement exercises, outstanding students from each of the college’s seven supporting counties were honored for academic achievement. 

 

Two Abbeville County students were honored. Sheila Weitkamp (left) was recognized by PTC area commission member Emma Goodwin during the afternoon ceremony. Weitkamp is veterinary technology graduate. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two Abbeville County students were honored. Bobby Suit (left) was recognized by PTC area commission member Rufus Sherard, right, during the evening ceremony. Suit is an Associate in Science graduate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Edgefield County student Mary Adams was honored for maintaining a 3.62 grade point average. She is recognized by PTC area commission member Rufus Sherard, right. Adams is an administrative office technology major.

 

 

 

 

 

Two Greenwood County students were honored for maintaining a 3.91 grade point average. Brian Clark (left) was recognized by PTC area commission chairman William Whitfield during the afternoon ceremony. Clark is an industrial electronics technology and mechatronics technology graduate. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two Greenwood County students were honored for maintaining a 3.91 grade point average. Theodore Thomas (left) was recognized by PTC area commission member Dr. George Cone, right, during the evening ceremony. Thomas is a commercial art graduate.

 

 

 

 

 

Laurens County student Julia Hale was honored for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. She was recognized by PTC area commission member Steve Lamb, left. Hale is an electronic engineering technology graduate.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

McCormick County student Grant Willis was honored for maintaining a 3.60 grade point average. He was recognized by PTC area commission member Cherry Brown, right. Willis is a mechanical engineering technology major.
