Scholarship Luncheon Honors Donors, Recipients

Piedmont Technical College recently held its annual Scholarship luncheon. The following recipients were among those honored:

 

timpetersonscholarship311Piedmont Technical College student and Calhoun Falls resident Elijah Hozey (left) was recently awarded the Tim Peterson Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Hozey, a horticulture student, is congratulated by Donna Foster, dean of arts and sciences.

 

 

 

 

 

 

stromthurmondscholarship311Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Thurmond Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Pictured are, from left, Marlana Alvarez, a business student from Chappells and presenter Debbie Walling. Not pictured is Teran Nation, a human services student from Greenwood. The scholarship, which is named for Senator Strom Thurmond, is awarded annually to students who display leadership abilities and maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average. The scholarship is also based on academic achievement and financial need.

Williams Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Griffin, an associate in arts major, is congratulated by Roxie Williams (left) and Dewey Brown, Williams’ son and sister. Awarded annually to students demonstrating leadership ability, exhibiting character and good life skills, the scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and HVAC major Phillip Walker from Greenwood recently received the J.E.S. Services HVAC Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student majoring in HVAC Technology who has completed 12 hours in the HVAC curriculum and maintained a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
