Students Awarded Scholarships at Luncheon

Scholarships were awarded recently at a luncheon honoring donors and recipients.
Piedmont Technical College student and Belton resident Michael Kunkle (right) was recently awarded the Brighter Futures Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Kunkle, an associate degree nursing student, is pictured with Brenda Brooks, scholarship committee member. This scholarship is the Piedmont Technical College Scholarship Committee’s “Choice Award” and is available to any Piedmont Technical College student.
Three Piedmont Technical College students recently received the Building Construction Technology Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic achievement and financial need to Building Construction Technology majors.
Piedmont Technical College student and Saluda resident Elizabeth Morris (left) received the Alfred and Miriam Adams Endowed Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Morris, an associate degree nursing student, is pictured with scholarship donor Miriam Adams. The scholarship is awarded annually to a Saluda County resident.
Piedmont Technical College associate degree nursing student and Greenwood resident Karen Lindley, left, was recently awarded the Forty and 8 Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon, presented by Danny Grubbs. The unit, a support group of the American Legion that was established in 1920 by World War I veterans, annually funds a nursing scholarship.
Piedmont Technical College student and Greenwood resident Precious White (left) was recently awarded the Access and Equity Scholarship. White, a cardiovascular technology student, is congratulated by Steve Coleman, director of Project Genesis. Awarded annually, the scholarship is based on academic standing, volunteerism and faculty and advisor recommendations.
