Teaching & Learning Center

The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) is an open-access computer lab for the general use students. The lab houses over 50 multi-media computers, all with Internet access, and a high speed printer for student use.

Our services complement the educational goals of the college and provide the assistance necessary to ensure student success in using technology.

 

Services:

  • Orientations (PTC Pathway, D2L, Skillstutor, MyMathLab, and many others)
  • Assistance with software programs (Reading, Math, and English Tutorials; and Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Assistance in basic Internet, managing e-mail, and word-processing skills

 

Hours and Locations:

K Building (118 K) - 1st Level, Greenwood Campus
Monday-Thursday: 7:30a.m. - 9:00p.m.
Friday: 7:30a.m. - 4:00p.m.
Saturday: Closed

The TLC is open when classes are in session and on a limited basis during term breaks.  The Center is closed during semester breaks and when the college is closed.

 

Policies:

  • Please, always sign in upon arrival and sign out upon leaving.
  • No children, food, or drinks are permitted in the lab.
  • Please turn cell phones off or on vibrate while in the lab.
  • No downloading or uploading of software.
  • Save your work often using a USB flash drive or other storage device.
  • Print only one copy per page of your work — and not over 10 pages total.
  • Computer usage must be only for appropriate, educational activities.
  • Limit your personal online time — only appropriate, educational sites and searches are permitted.
  • Report any problems with the software programs or equipment to the TLC Lab Assistant on duty.
