CAM Bellwether AwardPiedmont Technical College’s work with the businesses in Laurens County through the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) has won the College another national recognition.

PTC was selected as a finalist for a prestigious 2015 Bellwether Award, which recognizes outstanding, innovative programs and practices that are successfully leading community colleges into the future.

Piedmont Technical College students who had outstanding academic accomplishments during the 2014 fall semester have earned inclusion on the President’s List. To be named to the list, students must be full time and earn a term GPA of 4.00. Students will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the college president.

Terry LedfordTerry Ledford, director of Campus Police and Security at Piedmont Technical College, has been elected to serve as part of the executive board for the South Carolina Campus Law Enforcement Association (SCCLEA).

“This is an extremely important organization and I am honored to be asked to serve,” said Ledford.

Annual Massage Therapy Program Clinic Opens

Massage Therapy ClinicPiedmont Technical College's massage therapy program will be offering its annual massage clinic as part of the training for its students beginning January 15. The clinic will be open to the public Monday-Thursday from 12-3:45 p.m. at the PTC annex building on North Emerald Road.

A one-hour Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular or prenatal massage will be $10 for students and staff of PTC and $20 for the general public.

Fall Graduation 2014The James Medford Family Event Center at Piedmont Technical College welcomed more than 250 Piedmont Technical College graduates for two commencement ceremonies to celebrate their accomplishments.
