It seemed that grief and failure had become permanent themes in Ebony Ellis’s young life. A survivor of domestic abuse, Ellis tried twice between 2013 and 2019 to complete classes at Piedmont Technical College (PTC) while recovering from trauma and grieving the tragic loss of three beloved family members. Each time, she dropped out to work full time and tend to more pressing responsibilities, providing financial support for her family and raising her daughter as a single mother.

And thanks to 21st century heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technology, consumers no longer must sacrifice to enjoy their personally perfect climate every day. Piedmont Technical College (PTC) HVAC Program Director Robbie Hill, a 50-year veteran of the industry, says that today’s HVAC most certainly is not your grandfather’s HVAC.

Agreement Supports Transfer of PTC Commercial Art Graduates to Francis Marion University

Piedmont Technical College (PTC) and Francis Marion University (FMU) recently formalized an agreement designed to expedite the transfer process for eligible PTC Commercial Art AAS graduates. The move establishes a pathway to a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts for Graphic Design or Visual Arts for Photography at FMU.
