The 39,000 square-foot facility serves Piedmont Technical College students who reside in Laurens County and provides a home to two other local educational institutions–USC-Union at Laurens and Laurens County Adult Education (Lifelong Learning - Districts 55 and 56).

Students have the opportunity to take credit or non-credit courses in a traditional classroom setting, via satellite or two-way video. They will also have access to many student services including financial aid, placement testing, career counseling, registration, and library services. Students may also pay fees and buy books at the Center.

Student I.D.s and PTC parking stickers are available free of charge in the LRC.

Open for textbook sales during only the two weeks prior to the beginning of each semester. Specific LCHEC book store hours will be posted on the current events calendar.

Used Book Buy Back - December 15, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) – beginning Spring 2010
• Welding – beginning Spring 2010 at night at Laurens District 55 High School

Note - All classes may not be offered at the Laurens Center every semester. Some programs may be offered as a combination of live and online classes. Some programs may be offered as a combination of classes at the Laurens Center and the Greenwood campus or other county centers.
