The Piedmont Technical College Foundation is providing the opportunity for one lucky person to drive off in a 1965 Cobra Replica.
The Foundation is offering up to 500 tickets for a $100 donation per ticket for the purpose of a drawing to select one winner to win the second student-built Cobra.
Piedmont Technical College recently played host to the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association (SCADA) automotive field studies tour for educators. The purpose of the tour was to expose students, career specialists, counselors, career center instructors and teachers to the inner workings of the automobile industry.
Eleven new members were recently inducted into the Tau Alpha Pi National Honor Society at Piedmont Technical College. Tau Alpha Pi is the national honor society for engineering technology, just as Phi Beta Kappa is for liberal arts and Tau Beta Pi is for engineering. Founded in 1953 and managed for more than 30 years by engineering technology educator Frederick J.
Joshua Lindsay has spent his career working to “protect and serve.” Now he is ready to prepare the next generation of those who will enter the criminal justice system. He recently joined Piedmont Technical College as the program coordinator for the criminal justice program.
After a record-setting fall enrollment, officials at PTC are looking forward to a good turnout this spring as the VIP registration period draws near.
Registration for the spring term begins November 1 and runs through November 30. Students who register during this period become “VIPs” and receive their first choice of classes and a $25 registration fee waiver.
Piedmont Technical College’s gunsmithing program has been awarded nearly $3000 in firearms from the National Rifle Association (NRA). The guns will be part of a new gun library.
The idea to obtain the grant came from Rick Sellars, a student in the program.
Piedmont Technical College will kick off its One Book, One College series this week with an introduction to this year’s spotlight novel, The Five People You Meet in Heaven.
Each year, Piedmont Technical College chooses some of its best and brightest to serve as Presidential Ambassadors. These students represent the college at campus functions, provide tours and speak about their experiences to potential students.

Students at Piedmont Technical College were recently treated to a Fall Kick-off and Club Fair. The annual event welcomes students back to class and introduces them to the clubs and organizations available on campus.
