A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations.
Assists with inspection of all phases of construction work to include pipe and gutter installation,
grading and base, drainage, catch basins, curb, foundation, concrete, and asphalt inspections.
Assists with inspection by performing notetaking. Assists in measuring for quantities of
grassing, concrete, and asphalt. Performs basic calculations in areas, earthwork quantities,
length of pavement markings. Assists inspectors in obtaining necessary construction samples.
Duties include obtaining materials samples to be tested, filling out sample cards, and performing some test under direct supervision. Also assists in the checking of base depth and grade. Assists with preparing site manager daily work reports and enters pay items for monthly
construction estimates and final estimates. Performs other duties as assigned.
