Our ideal applicant will also have newsroom experience with media management experience
being a plus, knowledge of basic audio editing and production, and a bachelor?s degree or its
equivalent.

ethic, innovation, leadership, and spirit. We cover everything in Chapel Hill, Carrboro and
Orange County - from snow days to summer festivals, from the boardroom to the gridiron. From
politics to sports, our coverage reflects and enlightens our spirited and passionate audience.
You will be terrific managing the staff, working cooperatively with other managers, reporting live
and recorded news, planning special-event coverage and responding to breaking news as it
happens. News reporting is a 24/7 business and the nature of media is transforming by the day,
so you will have to work hard and be at ease venturing into new areas.
