Bachelor's degree or an associate degree plus two (2) years related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree; possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and be
a team player representing SCC and working with specialized populations; be able to function in
an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology; strong knowledge
of MS applications (i.e., Word, Excel and Power Point).
Supports the Adult Postsecondary Transition Center (APTC) as approved by the Department of
Labor and within the guidelines of SCC and TAACCCT. Performs duties to include
comprehensive and specialized assessments, college admissions testing preparation, on-line
learning orientation, academic planning and counseling. Provides direct case management
services to SC ACCELERATE participants and other individuals seeking assistance from SCC;
provides short-term soft-skill training and job search assistance to participants. Provides group
counseling and career planning as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
