Wages/Salary: The state salary range is from 25,627.00 to $47,413.00 Annually. The agency hiring range minimum salary is $27,933.00 and the maximum salary is $47,413.00.

Requirements:

You will need to have a high school diploma and four years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience; considerable knowledge of office management policies, practices and procedures.

Job Description:

You will serve as office manager in performing the following duties at the Aiken Maintenance unit. You will create and maintain personnel files for employees ensuring confidentiality of all communications relative to personnel matters; informs supervisors of necessary changes in regulations and status of vacant positions; prepare all necessary documentation for new hires, promotions, reclassifications, demotions, terminations, retirements, worker's compensation,
disciplinary actions, leave statements, employee EPMS, updating position descriptions and organizational chart, etc. Organizes, assigns, and reviews work performed by staff/clerks; research, process and prepare correspondence and reports expeditiously in a concise and professional manner; files and maintains tracking system or correspondence; responds to letters of a general nature that requires thorough knowledge of Department policies as requested by executive personnel. Maintain a high level of working knowledge of departmental computer programs including, but not limited to SCEIS, HMMS and ITMS. Also, maintain a high
level of working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You will serve as liaison between agency management and the general public to provide information and address concerns. Receives an interviews requesters, take requests, enters information into system, routes work to the appropriate personnel, and dispatches via low band radio as necessary; provide a high level of quality customer service when communicating with requesters. Plans, coordinates and/or performs standard and complex management support
service activities as required. Directly supervise and train office specialist and/or temporary employees in office duties and various departmental programs. Evaluates credentials to determine if certification requirements are met for a specific occupational area. Coordinates all incoming mail to include independently reviewing, distributing and sorting as necessary in order of priority; organize and/or supervises special events; attend briefings/meetings for
supervisors as authorized or delegated. Conducts inspections and audits to ensure compliance with laws, policies, procedures and regulations. Performs other duties as required by RME or their designee.

Schedule:
You will be working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
