A bachelor's degree in computer science or management information science; or an associate degree in computer science, computer technology or related field and two (2) years experience in computer programming or computer system development and modification; or a high school diploma and four (4) years expereince in computer programming or computer system development and modification.
To provide college-wide technical support in the analysis, design, programming and maintenance of administrative information systems and applications. Preferred: Working knowledge of programming technicques and languages, systems analysis, application software, relational databases, operating systems and computer hardware. Ability to analyze complex data and organize parts into logical systems; establish and maintain working relationships with users and Office of Information Technology staff; follow verbal and written instructions; and communicate effectively. Experience with SunGard Higher Education Banner administrative system, Argos report writer, Linux operating system, and Microsoft Windows is desired. Must have experience with Oracle database and SQL programming.
