Summary:
The Equipment Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities all in accordance with the high industry standards and manufacturing timescales.
Work hours for maintenance technicians are assigned in 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work comfortably while supporting all safety, PPE, and cleanroom protocol procedures.
Will be responsible for process technologies such as pneumatics, robotics, conveyance, vacuum systems, gas fired ovens, pumps, encoders, flow control, and pressure management devices among an array of supporting technologies.
Responsible for performing mechanical troubleshooting and repair of all solar manufacturing toolsets/equipment.
Responsible for installing, dismantling, adjusting, repairing and assembling solar equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repairing manuals, rough sketches or drawings. May also include equipment modifications as directed by Engineering.
Pro-actively search out potential equipment problems and work with team members to avoid or resolve
Participate and contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
Perform all required preventive maintenance on all process tools and equipment
Proficiently perform general PC functions on a regular basis
Work with previously and following shift team members to ensure smooth shift transitions
Follow written specifications and procedures
Assist in solving problems and record observations during the data collection process
Complete reports when necessary
Interact, support or assist manufacturing/production personnel
Research opportunities for cost reduction and make suggestions/recommendations for implementation
Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings
Accept and complete other duties and tasks as required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Associate’s degree or Military Experience Preferred
0-2 years’ experience in semi-conductor and/or Solar Industry is ideal

Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand and walk up to 90% of the shift.
Always wear the required PPE while in the manufacturing area. Other personal protective equipment is required as departmental policies or job tasks dictate.
Must be able to lift and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs., up to 10% of the work time.
