Job responsibilities include; set up and operate press brake and or laser bending cell to burn, bend, form or straighten ferrous and non-ferrous material. Use other machines as required. Or Set-up and operate all machine tools and perform all programming and operations on CNC machines and turning centers to fabricate parts within specified tolerances. (Machine worker).

Essential Functions:
- Receive and interpret work assignment from supervisor or production control system.
- Input information into data collection system as required using computer keyboard.
- Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, oral or written instructions or prototypes.
- Check drawings, sketches and manufacturing information for accuracy. Use calipers, tape measures or other measuring devices as required.
- Inspect first part piece run for conformity to drawings and specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of machines such as press brake, shear, manual and NC punch presses, and others as required.
- Set up and operate Laser Bending Cell, perform all necessary adjustments to maintain high quality cutting and forming.
- Set up hard tooling in press brake and punch press.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery. Note when dies need sharpening.
- Set up drill press area to drill, tap and countersink material.
- May occasionally be required to lift, or carry 70 lbs. Use material handling equipment to load, unload, transport and position heavy loads.
- Assist lower coded operators or perform tasks of lower coded positions.
- Utilize Calipers, gauges, other measuring devices to assure engineering standards to the .001 precision level.
- Perform SPC duties daily, including daily charting of all machines and creating designed experiments for problems due to non-conforming materials.
- Observe all safety and hygiene requirements as specified or directed. Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work place.
- Responsible for maintaining the on hand tooling inventory and bar/round stock inventory. (Machine worker)
- Visual knowledge of microfinishes; working knowledge of slip, pressed, and interference fits. (Machine worker)
- Design and create milling, drilling, and holding fixtures for the fabrication of various parts(Machine worker)
- Interpret drawings, develop and input via machine keyboard the sequence of operations, dimensional data, and tool data, and tool files for various parts. (Machine worker)
