Requirements:

Associate?s Degree with accounting related courses and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience or a high school diploma and four (4) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required. One year experience in higher education and student accounts/business office experience preferred. Computer skills, attention to detail, customer service relationship skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Individual will be required to work some evenings, in order to maintain coverage and supervision of cashier window. Some statewide and local area travel with overnight stays will also be required.

Job Description:

? Supervise, train and evaluate cashiers. Manage time scheduling of cashiers to insure adequate coverage at the cashier window.
? Manage company and state program student sponsorships. Authorizations are obtained from sponsoring agencies, sponsorships are set-up in Datatel allowing students to register and obtain applicable books and supplies. Companies and state programs are invoiced for sponsored students.
? Manage the deferred tuition payment plan program for students. This includes; establishing payment plan dates each semester, completing required forms for students; monitoring status of outstanding payment plans; collection of delinquent accounts.
? Process returned checks. Redeposit, tracking through Datatel student account if first time returned. Submit to FAA office for collection through the Solicitor's office if returned a second time. Enter appropriate restrictions on student account.
? Manage student account receivables. Analyze student accounts, troubleshoot identified problems with student billing, issue statements for outstanding accounts and submit refunds to accounts payable.
? Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, professional development to remain current in knowledge of administrative software related to accounts receivable and cash receipts, to continually improve job skills and knowledge and attendance at college wide meetings.
