The GE Greenville Gas Turbine Test Lead Operator Apprentice Program combines both academic studies and on-the-job training to develop the fundamentals required to become a skilled Test Lead Operator with GE Power. The Test Apprentice Lead Operator will learn the design of the gas turbine, how to install and test a GT, learn all auxiliary systems required for running GT’s, and modify the software and data acquisition systems. While learning, you will be exposed to a variety of Gas Turbine systems, including: programable logic controllers, HMIs and data acquisition, sensors and electronics, servo systems, complex process systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, and SPC. The test area is a self-sufficient test cell that covers all areas of a working power plant. Test Lead Operator performs simple to very complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic trouble shooting and repairs on variety of precision production machinery. They work on machine systems such as: *Mark VIe Controls, *Pump/Valve/Cooling Systems, *Sensors and Data Collection, *Power Electrical and MCCs, *Gas Turbine Operation and Design, *Test Stand Design and Build.
