Requirements:

Associate degree or higher in a fire service or education field. Minimum of 5 years experience in the fire service field. Current or past documented national certification as a fire service training instructor in Firefighter I, Firefighter II, hazardous materials, medical first responder and auto extrication.
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred in a the fire service or education field.

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Fire Service Technology department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: Provide classroom and hands on instruction of Fire Service Technology Materials Schedule adjunct instructors Manage/maintain department equipment Academic Advisor/Student Assistance/Recruiting/Community Events Assist other instructors during skills review and evaluations Other duties as assigned Greenville Technical College is the largest technical college in South Carolina and the third largest institution of higher learning in the state. This position will function as the technical expert for all Fire Service Technology certifications. The Fire Service Technology faculty position is responsible to the Fire Service Technology department head at the Brashier Campus and wil be the liason for all fire service related training conducted at Greenville Technical College and coordinated through the regional fire service and SC LLR.

Schedule:
8:00AM-5:00PM (M-Th); 8:00AM-1:00PM (F) and some evenings
