Required Work Experience:
• Previous customer service experience (Call center environment is a plus)
• Technical support experience with troubleshooting PC issues is strongly desired.
Minimum Education Requirements:
• High School level, diploma, or GED equivalent.
Needed Skills:
• Internet service function knowledge.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills with the ability to quickly maneuver between multiple information screens.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to provide courteous and effective instructions and directions to customers.
• Advanced keyboarding and 10 key skills for data entry.
• Proper use of grammar, spelling, and punctuation for professional writing.
Additional Comments:
• Work environment is at a fast paced 24/7 call center which requires flexibility in regards to working hours.
• Availability to work at least one weekend day every week is mandatory.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing Internet Service Technical and Customer Service Support by performing the following (other duties as assigned):
Specific Position Responsibilities:
• Provide courteous and effective telephone and computer customer service.
• Resolve issues and complex problems with hardware and software.
• Asses the technical needs of a caller in a timely manner and guide them on how to correct or resolve their technical problem.
• Accurately target problems and identify which situations to escalate for advanced level assistance
• Ability to work independently and multi task
• Become knowledgeable in advanced Internet service functions by troubleshooting email and internet connectivity issues.
• Continuous up training to remain knowledgeable of new products, services and procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable "Quality Assurance" statistics.
• Demonstrate a willingness to cross train in several departmental support areas.
