This person must have an advanced understanding of retail and the important role that inventory planning and management plays in the success of a retailer. They must flourish in a numbers-oriented environment and possess and attention to detail. The ability to anticipate and solve problems, and to multi-task in a fast-paced enviroment is key. The selected individual must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
• College degree in Logistics, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or Business Management preferred.
• APICS certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of post-college business experience preferably in an inventory control environment.
Primary Responsibilites
• Act as a liaison between the DC and the Urban Direct Anthro Direct Staff.
• Analyze SKU population to determine proper location for storage and picking method.
• Optimize pick strategy for primary picking and storage strategy for bulk storage location.
• Analyze inventory reports dealing with Backorders, Inventory Processing, and Forecasted on Order.
• Resolve issues relating to receiving, QA, and inventories including proper system updates.
• Coordinate the execution of Return to Vendors, Sell-Off’s, and Transfers to/from Retail stores, and retail damage processing, including necessary paperwork.
• Reconcile month-end transfers and RTV’s for accounting.
• Communicate revised order forecasts to DC team as appropriate.
• Establish and execute a schedule for regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Work with the Merchandise Control and Loss Prevention groups to limit shrink.
• Oversee and conduct cycle-counting program quarterly.
Secondary Responsibilities
• Provide support for both planning and merchandising organizations relevant to primary job responsibilities.
• Serve as compliance leader for safety/quality auditing of all processing areas.
