Medical Office Assistant

Private practice counselor seeking a self-motivated Piedmont Tech student intern in the AOT program (Medical or Medical Billing and Coding concentrations).  This person will be comfortable interacting with a wide variety of clients who might (at times) display difficulty with their emotions.  This individual would assist counselor in the following: scheduling new clients for intakes, scheduling existing clients, processing payments, helping verify insurance benefits, and billing insurance companies. This intern would also assist in helping to keep lobby and bathroom clean and presentable. No evening hours are expected or needed (at this time). This is an unpaid internship to assist students at P.T. in the AOT program in accumulation of the 150 hours needed for their degree. However, paid part time employment after internship will be considered for the right individual.
