A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Performs manual labor in the repair of timber bridge piles to include the use of hand tools for digging out around piling, pouring concrete footings, cutting piles, placing sway braces, etc. Trains to operate standard 5 yard dump trucks in hauling material and equipment to job sites. Trains to operate dump trucks with sand spreader and snow plow attachment during inclement weather. Assists in the repair and preventative maintenance of district bridges using welders, gas powered and electrical tools to include pilings, bearing, rails, expansion joints, etc. Assists with setting up work signs and performs flagging operation during repair and maintenance of roads and bridges. Performs other related duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Trains to operate milling head attachment with skid loader to reduce high profile areas.
