General duties may include the following:

  • Observing animals' behavior and condition
  • Helping with physical exams of patients
  • Restraining animals during exams or procedures
  • Assisting with surgeries, running lab tests, taking and processing x-rays, performing dental cleanings, updating patient records, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and filling prescriptions.
  • Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian.
  • Display exceptional communication skills with both clients and team members.
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
