Advanced EMT

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician course expands on the knowledge and application of advanced practices in prehospital emergency care. Topics include legal and ethical issues, operations, advanced treatment of medical and trauma emergencies including advanced airway management, intravenous and intraosseous procedures, as well as cardiology and pharmacology. In addition to the didactic and labs, students are required to complete field internship and hospital clinicals. Upon successful completion of the course students are candidates for the NREMT certification exam. *Background Check, drug screen required. Some immunizations required.
