Requirements:

An associate degree and three (3) years of related financial experience; or an approved
acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A bachelor's
degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for two (2) years of the required
work experience.

Job Description:

Performs reviews of payroll reports to ensure gross pay is correct. Reviews consists of any
over/under, retroactive and net payroll differences to ensure an accurate payroll. Assists
SCDOT employees with pay related issues and or problems. Works with the systems group and
Human Resources to resolve the issues as needed. Reconciles agency labor distribution for the
processing of the federal bill. Identifies, analyzes and performs research to resolve
discrepancies with labor hours charged to federal projects and updates the corrected labor
distribution hours file. Picks up and distributes printed payroll materials (checks, w-2s, etc.) for
designated SCDOT employees. Ensures the sorting and distribution are done timely in order to
meet the mail room deadlines. Manages direct deposit related issues for employees working
with the Treasurer's Office. Prepares agency off-cycle/bonus payrolls working with the
Comptroller Office.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
