EDUCATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE ? A Bachelor?s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or five to eight years? experience and/or training is required for this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS ? The employee must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The employee must also have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The employee must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS ? The employee must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY ? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Manages activities of the accounting employees and assist them with any problems that may occur; oversees Accounts Receivables Aging Report and makes calls to customers with outstanding accounts, assist in the preparation of monthly P&L?s and other financial reports as required; ensures and provides a high level of customer service; schedules cross training of accounting personnel, reviews payroll time sheets; prepares a variety of reports as required; reviews trial balance to ensure accurate P&L reporting, assist with computer hardware and software changes as needed; completes special projects and reports as required by general manager, is the onsite Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) officer, and other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES ? The Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall directions, coordination and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
