A high school diploma and six (6) years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A Valid motor Vehicle Operator's License.
Manages clerical and administrative activities with the SCDOT District office and coordinate with 14 county maintenance and construction offices. Provides offices with general guidance and technical advice related to administrative matters. Coordinates District clerical staff meetings and distributes information for District consistency; assures adequate stock of supplies; maintains District Office correspondence and reports files; assures office building is locked and secured at end of workday. Manages SCDOT District 2 office communications and front office/ greeting counter. Oversees and performs the answering of telephones and greeting visitors, directing phone calls/ visitors to the appropriate district staff member or providing information to them as requested/ needed. Manages District Office payroll process as time administrator in SCEIS;maintains a payroll file of all necessary paper documentation still needed outside of computer database within SCEIS. Complies reports received from the county units and submits requested documents/information to Headquarters. Prepares agendas, handles reminders and rosters, and takes minutes for District 2 safety quarterly meetings and other meetings as necessary and/or requested. Prepares routine letter responses for DEA signature for parades, walks, festivals and other events when requests are submitted. Types correspondence for District Office staff.Reviews and distributes all correspondence, mail, reports, circulation mail throughout the District Office and manages the courier mail system daily. Maintains database to track use of all available awards and funds for District Recognition Program, to include Thank You cards, Service Years Certificates, Extra Mile and Achievement Awards. Acts as District Wellness Coordinator.Coordinates and schedules all District wide wellness programs including shots and health screenings. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
