Minimum Qualifications :
High School diploma. Weekend and holiday work hours are required for this
position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer training and/or experience in animal care.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. A working knowledge of
common symptoms of disease in laboratory animals preferred. Must be able
to handle and restrain a variety of animal. Requires considerable knowledge
of environmental and nutritional requirements for laboratory animals, must
posses ability to successfully complete certification requirements. Required
to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to
compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
This job is responsible for completing duties related to the care and management of research animals and their facilities for the Department of Laboratory Animal Resources at the University of South Carolina.
Work Schedule:
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department. Weekend and holiday work hours are required for this
position.
