High school diploma and experience in computer programming or computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree in Computer Programming or related field. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving skills, strong analysis and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work as part of a software development team.
This position is located with the SC Retirement System. Under limited supervision the incumbent will perform diverse software development duties. The incumbent will analyze, design, program, test, debug, and document software for new and existing web-based information systems using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in a Windows environment. Under the direction of the software development manager, the incumbent will be responsible for working with other analysts to understand, document, and implement software systems that meet business requirements.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: 8:15 am - 4:45 pm
