As part of our Engineering team, the candidate must have a 2 year degree or equivalent and 3-5 years experience working with Solid Edge and 3D Modeling. Design and drafting experience, including detailing, product design, and tool design a plus. Experience working in the engineering field in a manufacturing industry is preferred. R.E. Phelon Company, a leader in aluminum die cast products, has an immediate opening for a CAD Designer in our Aiken, SC facility. Duties include support of the Tool Room, Die Cast Engineers, support of Process Engineers, 3D modeling, and drafting of detailed drawings. Design work will consist primarily of tooling design, mechanical subassemblies and die cast products, from concept to finished products. Candidates will generate detailed and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials, Engineering Change Notices and associated documentation for the release of projects.
