Wages/Salary: $31,182.00 - $57,695.00 Annually
An associate degree in electronics technology and three (3) years of experience in
electronics equipment, systems engineering, maintenance or repair; or an approved
acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Employee will receive approximately ninety (90) days of on the job training.
Under limited supervision, maintains a microprocessor based conventional, duplex, and multi-channel trunked analog and digital two-way radio communications system. Provides installation and removal of all base and mobile communications equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs all communication and associated electronic equipment using assigned test equipment and service manuals. Performs scheduled preventive
maintenance and operational tests on mobile, portable and base communications equipment. Creates programming templates to program required equipment, operates the equipment and trains end-user on
operation of each model. Ensures assigned vehicle is kept clean, serviced and organized and that all
required equipment, tools, and parts are readily available. Maintains accurate and detailed records of all
work performed. Performs other related duties as required.
