Associates degree in a related area; or a high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications systems design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment. Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Data network training and/or related experience preferred. Valid driver?s license is required. Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds, climb ladders and use power tools.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Good communication and people skills. Ability to perform tasks in a detailed manner. Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware, software and smart classroom technology equipment. Proficiency must be shown in current Microsoft products such as Office, Windows, SharePoint and SQL as well as Adobe products. Ability to install and configure computer hardware and software. Ability to research complex problems related to hardware and software compatibilities. Basic Banner knowledge is a plus.
Performs hardware support for computers, printers and related technology as needed with the assistance of student technicians. Configures computer images and deploys new computers. Assists with classroom equipment installation. Supervises and guides student technicians through repair and troubleshooting procedures. Assist with administration of work order system. Assists with asset management tracking. Provides hardware and software training. Assists the network manager in troubleshooting problems.
