Requirements:

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:  Requires a high diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by six to nine years of experience in maintenance and construction work involving use of heavy equipment (i.e. backhoes, excavators, motor graders and bulldozers, etc.) or a combination of skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications that is justifiably similar to the above.  Must possess and maintain a valid S.C. driver’s license with CDL class “A” endorsement or be able to obtain a state CDL driver’s license within six months from date of employment.

Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  Performs duties installing, repairing and replacing roads and bridges for Newberry County.  Maintains drainage and driving surfaces of County roads and bridges, grass cutting, brush clearing, sign replacement and road maintenance during inclement weather.  Assists the recycling department as needed. Performs related work as required.  

Schedule:
Regular Full-time, 40 hours per week
