Requirements:

A high school diploma and six (6) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic or electromechanical equipment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class A Commercial Driver?s License (CDL). Note: This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver?s License. However, applicants without a Class A Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class A Commercial Driver?s License are available. Class A Commercial Driver?s License must be attained within six (6) months of placement in the position.

Job Description:

Performs maintenance and repairs on existing or installs new traffic signal control
systems in District One. Responds to calls during and after work hours concerning
malfunctioning signal systems, determines problem, and makes necessary repairs or
replacements. Performs repairs on electromechanical equipment, solid state
microprocessor units, analog and digital electronic circuitry equipment. Performs inshop repairs to signal equipment and performs test to ensure proper operation of
equipment before installing. Installs new traffic signal control systems in accordance with all Departmental regulations and ?Signal Plan?. Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and some electronic equipment district wide. Operates large bucket truck, pole truck and trailer, and large truck pulling the trenching machine.
