Wages/Salary: The state salary range is from $31,182.00 to $57,695.00; annually. The agency minimum hiring range is $41,938.00 and the maximum is $57,695.00.

Requirements:

You will need a bachelor's degree in engineering, or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and two (2) years of related work experience, or approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operators license is required. Engineer in training (EIT) is preferred. You will need experience with Microsoft Office Software and experience with Sitemanager.

Job Description:

You will use CADD to draft plans for bridges for both substructure and superstructure. With the aid of computer software, prepares design computations which will determine the types and sizes of slabs, beams and bents (bent caps, columns, drilled shafts, footings and piles) that will be used on a particular bridge project; calculate geometric dimensions and evaluations so that the contractor will be able to properly place all the necessary components for a particular bridge project. You will be using dimensions shown on the plans, calculates quantities which determine the amount of steel and concrete that will be required for the project; perform miscellaneous duties as requested.

Schedule:
You will be working Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
