Requirements:

A bachelor?s degree in engineering and one (1) year of entry-level engineering work experience; or a bachelor?s degree in engineering technology and three (3) years of entry-level engineering work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator?s license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Supervisory experience.
Experience with processing encroachment permits and managing contracts.

Job Description:

Assists the Resident Maintenance Engineer (RME) at Richland Maintenance by overseeing and supervising the daily operations of the encroachment permit process, the maintenance activities contract process, and the damage claim process. Monitors work flow to ensure timely responses and compliance with Agency rules and regulations in regards to encroachment permits, maintenance contracts, and damage claims. Assists RME in investigating maintenance problems or complaints. Coordinates the review and investigation of Information requests and special events. Provides assistance to the RME during inclement and hazardous weather. Performs other related duties as directed by the Resident Maintenance Engineer.
