A bachelor's degree in engineering and two (2) years of entry-level engineering work
experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

Job Description:

Supervises Engineering Geodetic personnel on road and bridge construction projects. Supervises
the inspection of: asphalt, concrete, embankment, storm drain, stone base, miscellaneous
roadway and bridge items. Trains in the management of all phases of highway and bridge
construction projects. Performs sediment and erosion control inspections and traffic control
inspections on construction projects. Trains and assists in the inspection of: the placement of
concrete in roadway and bridge structures, the placement on embankment material, stone
bases, and storm drain, and the placement of asphalt on the roadway. Performs the inspection
of miscellaneous roadway and bridge items. Performs and supervises the performance of all
required sampling and testing of materials listed in the above duties. Performs related duties as
necessary. Trains and assists in survey, line, and grade verifications. Supervises
Engineering Geodetic personnel while performing horizontal and vertical surveys. Operates
surveying instruments in the absence of an instrument person.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
