A Bachelor's degree. Master's degree a plus. Minimum of 3 years experience in managing and caring for horses. Teaching experience to include riding instruction and competitive Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. Must maintain good standing with the United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Hunter Jumper Association. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Ability to ride, demonstrate riding techniques and perform physical tasks associated with equine activity. Ability to operate vehicles, equipment and machinery associated with equine operations (truck trailer, tractor, loader, etc.) Ability to coach a team with high regard for and strong commitment to academic achievement, development of strong personal character and sportsmanship. Must demonstrate teaching effectiveness. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
The Equestrian Coach is responsible for all aspects of coaching the Equestrian Team including recruiting, coaching, training, and competing at shows. Assists with the acquisition and maintenance of horses. Responsible for summer camps.
