Funeral Director/Embalmer

Family-owned firm with locations in North and South Carolina, south of Charlotte, NC is seeking two licensed Funeral Director and/or Embalmers. We would prefer them to be licensed in both states but not required because of the ability to reciprocate a license from another state. Great work atmosphere with a team approach including an open-door management policy.

Must be a self-starter that is detail oriented and possesses excellent interpersonal/communication skills to interact with families. This person will have proficiency with computers & MS Office and ability to learn funeral profession software. Must have strong organizational skills to include time management and the ability to multitask. Clean driving record.

Responsibilities include meeting with client families to make funeral arrangements, present and explain service options, and assist with all aspects of coordinating cremation/burial services. make transfers from the place of death during business hours. If licensed Embalmer, Preparation room duties include embalming/dressing/casketing. Crematory experience a plus. Flexible schedule with every other weekend off. No night removals.
