Operates mowing equipment (boom, slope, bat wing) cutting shoulders and right-of-ways on Interstate, primary and secondary roadways in Newberry County. Responsible for minor servicing and making minor repairs to equipment. Operates 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from worksites. Performs follow-up trimming operations for mowing roads, such as trimming around guardrail, signs, and other roadway appurtenances. Performs duties as required for normal daily operations such as flagging, workzone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, and small power tool operations. Performs duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice, and equipment operation requiring right-ofway debris removal. Operates complex equipment for mowing and maintaining rights-of-way on Interstate, primary, and secondary roads. Performs other related duties as assigned.
