High School Diploma and experience in a relevant program area. Must possess the ability to instruct, lead, supervise and discipline students in a group setting. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Must have knowledge of counseling techniques, and possess skills in prevention and management of aggressive behavior.
Provides guidance and assistance to Youth Counselor, assists Senior Counselor in orientation and training of new Youth Counselors, conducts cottage observations, keeps Unit Coordinator abreast of individual students progress on IPC goals, acts as a liaison, mediator and advocate for students, coordinate off-campus trips, assist students with assignments, participate in family sessions, establish and maintain a positive rapport wtih students and families, serves on Treatment Team.
