Requirements:
  • Must be highly motivated, detail oriented, and have good organization and leadership skills
  • Degree in Horticulture or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands on growing experience
  • Basic computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Current Chemical Applicators License or ability to obtain quickly
  • Able to prioritize task and efficiently accomplish goals and objectives
  • Physical requirements include lifting products and materials with a maximum weight of 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of greenhouse operation and management
  • Able to lead, direct, and teach Assistant Grower and growing team
  • Good communication skills (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus)
Job Description:
  • All phases of crop production and maintenance, including monitoring and control of greenhouse environment, fertilization and nutrition management, pest management, propagation, scheduling and managing crews
  • Scouting all plant material for signs of pest/disease pressure, water/nutritional needs and assigning proper control/corrective measures for all crops as needed
  • Overseeing seed quality testing and germination lab
  • Manage the Quality Control department; oversee incoming and outgoing plant material and seed to ensure they meet our high quality standards
  • Maintain all state and federal regulatory compliance needs
  • Assist Customer Service team with crop updates, general plant information, and customer questions/problems as needed
